Practical EDC: Finding the Sweet Spot

"EDC" is a term that has become pervasive online, and often carries with it the connotation of filling pockets full of semi-useful "do-it-all" items. These often do nothing well, and are not practical. I plan to strip away much of this ideology and apply a sort of minimalist approach. You should only carry what you'll use, while also being ready for what life brings you.

While looking at what professionals use, at what the market has to offer, and what is actually practical, I plan on finding the sweet spot, so that you, dear reader, don't have to. I plan to help people learn and build confidence in their decisions regarding what to put on their belt or in their pockets each day.

A friend submitted pocket dump of his CZ75 PCR (handgun)

with spare magazine and ANR designs holster, CRKT Drifter (knife),

keys, chap stick, and container with unknown contents.

In the realm of gear, where many see their biggest expenses, money often speaks volumes.

Sometimes the budget stuff won't do what needs to be done, but occasionally through some innovation, budget item's can find their way into quality kit. I'm going to make it my goal to find the best tools, without sacrificing quality, and leave honest feedback about how items I find along the way perform.

This is a new adventure this site is taking, and I'm hoping it goes well and can benefit as many people as possible. I look forward to future posts, and will always welcome feedback.
